Cycling
Unlike Mali Lošinj, which is known for it’s cycling paths and a lot of cyclists, until 2019 Susak had none of that. That year the road connecting the lower and the uper village was finally paved with concrete, which made it accessible to bicycles. Before the road was paved it was very rought and dusty, which made it unsutable for cycling.
This road enables access to really nice and scenic paths connecting upper village with the rest of the island: one path is leading to the lighthouse at west, while the other is leading to the cape Darto at east. These paths are ideal for cycling: they are wide and mostly flat.
Some extreme cyclists have created lighthouse downhill video.

Getting a bike to Susak
If you plane to take your bike with you, here are your options …
If you travel via Mali Lošinj load your bike aboard the local ship connecting Mali Lošinj and Susak. It’s a big ship with plenty of room. Note that you will have to pay extra for transporting a bicycle, since it’s not considered personal luggage.
If however you plan to travel via Rijeka things might not be as simple. At high season when all the tickets are sold out catamaran which connects Rijeka and Susak might refuse to take accept bike onboard. It’s best to check by calling their office - contact info can be found at Jadrolinija.
You can try to alleviate this problem by avoiding traveling during weekends.
